A fórmula de Kelly é uma fórmula introduzida por John Kelly no seu artigo “A new interpretation of information rate” publicado em 1956. A fórmula calcula a fracção óptima do capital que o apostador deverá arriscar em cada aposta, de acordo com as suas probabilidade s de ganhar e perder, bem como o seu payoff.
